"My words fly up, my thoughts remain below. Words without thoughts never to heaven go" is my favorite quote from Hamlet. Claudius says this right after Hamlet almost stabs him while he's so called "praying". Basically what Claudius is saying is that he's sorry for killing his brother but his words won't go up to heaven because he does not mean them. There's no point in saying anything when you do not mean it. Words have no meaning if you do not mean them. I chose this quote because why should it be okay for someone to say something but not mean it? If only Hamlet heard Claudius say this one quote he could have killed Claudius without guilt. Hamlet did not kill Claudius because he thought he was praying but the truth is, he was just ranting about how he feels bad.
